Our Liturgical Services
Matins
Spiritual worship conducted with sacred drums (kebero), sistra (tsenatsil), and chanting, following the ancient tradition of Saint Yared. Matins prepares the congregation for the Divine Liturgy.
Divine Liturgy
The central act of communal worship, celebrating the Holy Eucharist. The liturgy consists of three main sections and culminates in receiving the body and blood of Christ.
Baptism
The sacrament of initiation performed by water immersion following Orthodox tradition β the 40th day for boys and the 80th day for girls, or upon confession of faith for adults.
Marriage Ceremony
The holy sacrament of matrimony (Teklil), a lifelong covenant blessed by the Church. Both parties must be baptized Orthodox Christians. Please contact the church to arrange the ceremony.
Funeral Prayers
The Requiem prayers offered for the departed, commending the soul to Godβs mercy and comforting the bereaved family in the hope of the resurrection.
